RAJOURI, Aug 4: In a tragic incident, a vehicle (Tata Safari) bearing registration number JK02AP- 0095 skidded off the road at Balli in Kalakote today, resulting in the death of one person.

The deceased has been identified as Abdul Rashid, son of Mir Baz, resident of Broota Dayala, in tehsil Kalakote of Rajouri district. He was a retired Government teacher.
On receiving information about the accident, a police party from Police Station Kalakote, led by SDPO Kalakote Surinder Mohan, promptly rushed to the spot.
The victim was immediately shifted to the hospital, where doctors declared him as brought dead.
Police have registered a case under relevant sections of law and initiated investigation into the matter. Postmortem and other legal formalities were conducted, following which the body was handed over to the legal heirs for last rites.
