Retd SRTC workers meet Addl PF Commissioner

JAMMU, June 7:  Voluntarily retired workers of State  Road Transport Corporation (SRTC) in the form of a deputation met the Additional Provident Fund Commissioner at Rail Head Complex here and discussed the issue of release of amount of interest in favour of retired employees of the Corporation.
Led by Dev Raj Bali, president All J&K SRTC Volunteer Retirement Employees Association, the members discussed the issue with the Addl PF Commissioner regarding pending interest amount of the employees.  The Additional Commissioner assured the deputation that the interest amount  worth  Rs 5,31,461 would be recovered  from the J&K SRTC for further payment.
Mr Bali criticised the SRTC management for mis-utilisation of their Provident Fund amount. He said it is deducted from workers’ account but not deposited by the Corporation in the PF account. It is pending for the last 7-8 years. He demanded transparency in the system and warned that workers’ should not be cheated by Government on account of PF amount.
