JAMMU, Feb 16: Suresh Kumar Sharma, a retired Judge, has been appointed as president of Shree Gandhi Seva Sadan Jammu (SGSS-J).
Sharma was unanimously appointed as president of SGSS Jammu in a meeting of the organization held recently at its head office, Gandhi Bhawan in Jammu. The meeting was attended from Srinagar by S Q A Qadri and from Delhi Nita Mehta, through online mode.
The newly appointed president after taking the charge today chaired a meeting of managing committee of organization and took stock of its activities. During the meeting, Sharma reviewed activities undertaken by the SGSS Jammu and discussed steps need to be taken to speed up the works of the organization.
Sharma was apprised that SGSS is the oldest organization of Khadi in J&K which gives work of weaving and spinning to the women of far flung villages.
