Retd IGP launches ‘Thinker’s Club’

JAMMU, Aug 3: Retired IGP Johnny William here launched ‘Thinker’s Club’ for dialogue, debate and discussion in atmosphere of mutual respect and maturity when it comes to contradictory views.
Speaking on the occasion William said that it was an endevour to establish an outlet, a platform where people with diverse backgrounds, great social contribution and time tested track record of commitment and integrity could assemble for introspection on vital issues which impact society and reflect on measures that can be taken to eradicate the fault-lines.
“It will be an apolitical movement to celebrate the democratic instinct of freedom of thought and speech where ideologies and affiliations will have no bearing. It have no strings attached and will be just an outlet with freedom to speak,” William maintained.
In the first deliberations of Thinker’s Club threadbare discussion on communal harmony were held.
M.M Khajuria, former DGP; Kuldeep Khoda, former DGP and Commissioner Vigilance, Arvind Kotwal, MCJ, Robin Singh, Shail Gulhati, Adeep Mehta, Madan Sharma (Retired Chief Engineer), Rajinder Gupta (Retired DIG) and others participated in it.
