JAMMU, July 3: The Executive body of Shri Sanatan Dharam Sabha (SDS) Baramulla , Camp Jammu held a meeting here, today in which great satisfaction was expressed over the Government decision for sanctioning the project regarding reconstruction of retaining wall of river Jehlum in Khanporan Baramulla to protect the holy Shailputri temple situated on the bank of the river.
The retaining wall besides protecting the holy shrine of Mata will also safeguard and provide additional support to National Highway leading to Uri from Baramulla. The Sabha complimented the Lt Governor, G C Murmu for fulfilling the long cherished desire of the civil society of Baramulla. It said the great efforts were made by two senior BJP leaders and former MLCs Ajay Bharti and Surinder Ambardar in this regard who took up the issue with the Government from time to time.
