MENDHAR, May 30: Rehber-e-Taleem (ReT) teachers who were regularized by the Government are still without salaries for the last five months in all the zones of Poonch district.
Strong resentment is brewing among these teachers engaged under ReT for the failure of the School Education Department to provide them salary. They said that due to non-disbursement of their salary, they were facing lot of problems and virtually leading to starvation.
Chief Education Officer Poonch when contacted said that Rs 29 crore were required for paying the pending wages of these teachers. He said that higher authorities have been conveyed about the matter. As and when, the funds are released, these teachers will be paid.
