ReT teachers to protest for SSA salary on June 10

JAMMU, May 31: A Monthly meeting of All J&K ReT Teachers Forum was held under the chairman ship of Vinod Sharma, State president which was attended by State apex body members and District presidents, today.
While Speaking on the occasion, Vinod Sharma demanded immediate release of salary which is pending for last several months. He said that on one hand the SSA teachers are on verge of starvation and unable to provide basic family needs on the other hand the Government is least bothered about them.
Even the HRD Ministry has released more than Rs 400 crores rupees under SSA about 15 days back but the State Finance Department has not released the same amount for unknown reasons which is a matter of concern.
The State Government is not releasing the already released amount of HRD Ministry, how can we expect than the State share would be released and thousands of ReT teachers would get their 6 to 10 months salaries, he said.
While speaking on the occasion, speakers lambasted the State Government and especially the State Finance Department and Education Department which is doing nothing to release the salaries of SSA Teachers.
They threatened to go on strike if their whole salary is not released with in a week and for such step the Government will be responsible.
It was unanimously decided to hold one day protest at all the District Headquarters on 10th of June 2015 if the pending salaries are not released before then.
