RAJOURI, Dec 16: Rehbar-e-Taleem (ReT) teachers of zone Thannamandi today submitted their resignation from non-teaching assignments to concerned Tehsildar.
A deputation of ReT Teachers Forum, zone Thannamandi on the direction of District president of the Forum, Aftab Tantray, met with Tehsildar Thannamandi and submitted their resignation from all kind of non-teaching assignments like BLO duty, census duty, PPI duty, election duty, MDM duty and other non-teaching duties in the light of Incharge ZEO Thannamandi’s autocratic and humiliating circular/order no ZEO/TMD 2351-2452 dated 11-12-2015 in which she has mentioned that ReT/RReT’s should not be engaged for any kind of duty except teaching.
The deputation, which was led by its incharge zonal president, Shoket Javid Mir and accompanied by vice-president, Ahmed Khan and State secretary, Jahangir Khan, also informed the Tehsildar that they are more interested and happy to teach the pupils in schools instead of delivering other non-teaching assignments.
Tehsildar Thannamandi, Rafiq Ahmed Khan gave a patient hearing to the deputation and assured the deputation that he will take up the matter and also forward their resignation to District Development Commissioner Rajouri.
The ReT teachers, who resigned included Shoket Mir, Manzoor Mir, Arif Hussain, Mansoor Mirza, Ayaz Mir, Alam Din, Irfanullaha, Khalid Mehmood, Mohd Javaid, Mohd Imran, Sajad Ahmed, Shakoor Ahmed, M Yaqoob M Sharief, Manzoor Hussain, Pervaiz Ahmed, Shafyat Hussain, Mohd Ahmed, Safeer Ahmed, Sageer, Khalil Ahmed, Missri, M Imran and Zabair and M Mehboob.
