ReT Teachers’ Forum demands absorption of SSA posts under State Plan

Udhampur, Mar 4: A monthly meeting of J&K ReT Teachers’ Forum was held under the chairmanship of its State President, Vinod Sharma, here today.
Apart from the District President Lekh Raj Parihar, the meeting was attended by executive members of the Forum from all the eleven zones of the district.
While speaking on the occasion, Sharma expressed his anguish and great concern on the plight of SSA teachers of the State who are suffering due to delay in release of their salaries for last three months due to which they are unable to provide basic amenities to their families.
He said though the Education Minister and Finance Minister have been showing their concerns to resolve the issue, but delay in releasing the salary has been putting the teachers in the lurch, rather in trauma.
He demanded the absorption of the SSA posts under State to get the SSA salary streamlined so that thousands of teachers under SSA be saved from further mental disturbance created by delay in releasing their salaries.
He also demanded the immediate issuance of orders regarding the comprehensive Transfer Policy for regularized ReTs as teachers are suffering badly as they have been working in the same schools for last more than 15 years.
He further said that the Forum is waiting till the review meeting to be convened by Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and are hopeful that the Government would come up with a permanent solution of SSA salary and comprehensive Transfer Policy, adding that the future course of action of the Forum will be decided accordingly.
Lekh Raj Parihar while speaking on the occasion demanded the release of MDM dues which are pending for the year 2017-18.
Others who also spoke on the occasion were Sukhdev Singh Sumbria, Sukesh Khajuria , Chain Singh,  Shamsher Singh, Rekha Thakur, Sushil Singh, Vipin Sharma, Sahil Sambyal,  Jagdish Chander Sharma, Pawan Singh, Vandna Gouria, Pankaj  Singh, Sudesh Kumar, Suresh Sharma, Mohd Mukhtyar , Subash  Thakur , Mohan Lal , Vabbal Singh , Beerbajan and Rinku Sharma.
