ReT teachers call on Bukhari, seek streamlining of SSA salary

JAMMU, Mar 14: A deputation of J&K ReT Teachers’ Forum, led by State president Vinod Sharma and State chief coordinator Sukhdev Singh Sumbria, called on Education Minister, Altaf Bukhari, who has been assigned additional charge of Finance Minister.
While interacting with the Minister, Vinod Sharma projected the issue of streamlining of SSA salary, which is pending for the last 3 months and even arrears of regularized ReTs are also pending due to which SSA teachers are living in miserable conditions as they are unable to provide basic amenities to their family members.
He suggested absorbing SSA posts under State plan to find the permanent solution of this chronic problem. He also projected the issue of Transfer Policy for regularised ReTs who have been serving in the far flung schools for the last more than 15 years and even High Court had also given verdict to transfer the regularised ReTs. The deputation appealed the Minister to resolve these both issues for the welfare of cadre as he is also holding the charge of Finance Ministry.
The Minister, after listening the deputation quite patiently, assured to resolve both the genuine issues of SSA salary and Transfer Policy of ReT Cadre at the earliest and come up to the expectations of thousands of ReTs of the State .
Later, the deputation also met with the MoS Education, Priya Sethi in her Office Chamber and projected the issue of SSA salary and Transfer Policy. She also assured to resolve the genuine issues of ReT cadre.
The ReT deputation comprised of Rajesh Jamwal, Subash Chander, Ravinder Singh, Shabir Ahmed and others.
