JAMMU, Dec 30: Asking the State Government to revoke its order on screening test of ReTs, who have secured degrees from study centres of distance mode, the All J&K ReT Teachers Forum has announced protest on January 11 if the demand is not conceded.
An emergency meeting of the Forum was held here today under the presidium of State president Vinod Sharma, State vice presidents Younis Rahi and Bhupinder Singh, who flayed the Govt Order No. 631 Edu. of 2015 Dated 12/12/2015 in which it has been ordered to take screening test of ReTs/RRTs who have taken their degrees through Distance mode/ Study centre.
Vinod Sharma termed the Government move as an attempt to harass the ReT cadre. On December 14, the Education Minister had assured our deputation to take the screening test of only the Fake degrees holders but as per this order all Universities providing Distance Education, including Jammu University, Kashmir University, IGNOU, MANUU and equivalent universities, are considered as fake which a shameful act of the Govt and will not be tolerated at any case, he added.
Vinod Sharma said that this order has created a confusion among more than 65000 ReTs of the State and if such order is not revoked in two days they will hold State level protest at Jammu on January 16, 2016.
Others,  who  spoke in this meeting, included  Rajesh Jamwal,  Lekh Raj Parihar, Gulzabir Daing,  Subash Chander, Ravinder Singh Manohar Choudhary, Sandeep Singh and  Parshotam.
