Government claims that Mobile Internet has been restored in J&K but the situation is quite different on the ground. The internet speed is so weak that one cannot even check emails or download 4 to 5 MB file. After social media has been restored around 7 to 8 days back , the Gmail speed has come down drastically. I had to mail some write ups for local and international media outlets but I am not able to do it as my laptop is not getting connected with mobile internet. Even if it gets connected it takes me 10 to 15 minutes to have access to Gmail. Even I am not able to open Daily Excelsior online newspaper from last 5 to 6 days which was at least accessible before the ban on social media was lifted in J&K. The constant gag on better Internet facility has made many people jobless in J&K. It is destroying our economy. This is not the way to deal with the situation at a time when every bit of life is dependent on internet. I appeal authorities to keep a vigil on social media and take action against the hate mongers or people spreading rumors but why shall ordinary citizens be made scapegoats ? Let 4 G Internet service be restored without any delay now in Jammu & Kashmir .
