Restoration of RBA status to migrants demanded

JAMMU, Sept 25: A deputation of residents of Durga Nagar and Roop Nagar led by Roshan Lal Raina, president Durga Nagar Welfare Committee called on advisor to Governor, Khursheed Ahmed Ganai and apprised him of the problems of the area.
While highlighting the problems the delegation demanded that migrants of RBA areas be issued RBA certificates the process which was closed by Omar Abdullah led NC-Congress Government over seven years back.
It also demanded release of list of selected candidates who have applied for employment under PM’s job package for Kashmiri migrants. Highlighting the problem of water scarcity faced by the people of Durga Nagar which gets water supply after a duration of four days, the delegation demanded improvement in water supply on daily basis.
It also demanded that the premixing work on roads in the area be started soon after the Monsoon is over.
The other members of the delegation included Vijay Koul, Shiban Ji, M K Bhat, Behari Lal etc.
Later in a meeting of the residents the area the role of Welfare Committee led by Raina was highly acclaimed and the meeting complimented the Committee in taking the genuine issues with the Government from time to time.
