Restoration of Saini Regiment in Army demanded

JAMMU, Oct 26: In a meeting, All J&K Saini Sabha has demanded the revival of Saini Regiment in Indian Army.
The meeting was chaired by Pritam Singh Saini, Sabha president in village Sarora here today.
Speaking in the meeting, Pritam Singh said that Saini youth have strongly opposed the OBC status to the community.
He said that the government has granted OBC status to the Saini community but the community youth was least interested in that.
Pritam Singh said that youth of Saini community are competitive and have already made our community proud by performing excellently in tough competitions in every sector.
“Reservation should only be accorded to economically weaker sections of the society and we categorically oppose the inclusion of the community in OBC list and demand immediate withdrawal of the community from the list,” he maintained.
Tara Chand, Sabha general secretary; Sukhdev Singh, Sardari Lal, Mulkh Raj Saini and others were also present in the meeting.
