JAMMU, Jan 8: Highly appreciating the vision of Maharaja Hari Singh for making and applying Permanent Resident Act 1927 to protect lands, jobs and Culture of Jammu &Kashmir, former minister and senior leader of Jammu & Kashmir National conference alleged that BJP Govt under the garb of Abrogation of Article 370 & 35A dumped the vision of Great Maharaja and duped the people of Jammu &Kashmir from their legitimate right.
In a press statement here today, the NC leader said that subsequently Maharaja’s Act was made Article 35-A of the constitution of India after the accession of the Princely state of Jammu & Kashmir with India.
He further alleged that BJP Govt is befooling the people of J&K by making double speak. In one breath, they say no 371, in next they say they are going to do.
Former minister asked BJP not to play with legitimate rights of the people of Jammu & Kashmir especially youth. It has created an atmosphere of mistrust, insecurity which can lead to alienation of youth. “In whole of our country, about 18 states have given protection of lands, jobs and culture then why the people of Jammu & Kashmir are deprived of it,” Sadhotra asked.
He said cold shoulder shown by BJP to the people of Jammu & Kashmir especially youth, still remember Maharaja’s vision of 1927 for giving protection to the lands, jobs & culture of Jammu & Kashmir. Sadhotra emphasized the need of respecting the vision of Maharaja.
