Respect Food

I
Sir,
At wedding or birthday parties, I see a lot of people piling up their plates but not finishing the food. I urge people to respect food. Buy what you need, cook what you will consume and take only as much as you will actually eat. If you go to a restaurant, do not hesitate to get the leftover packed. Eat it later or offer it to the poor. Throwing, wasting food is like stealing from the table of a poor and hungry person. Let  us ensure that the food reaches the plate of the needy and not the pit. Wastage of food is not only detrimental to environment but also impacts the economy as it also leads to a wastage of resources like energy and water which are used to prepare food.

Sir,
This is in reference to the Guest Control Order published in this paper some time back. The order is no much clear on various points and these need clarification.
For forthcoming marriages in April or May 2017, people have already made arrangements like Hotel, Resort booking for the function, receptions and made payments in advance. Some  have already ordered for invitation cards in huge numbers. So what exemptions are planned for them?.
What about Mundan ceremony which is quite a big occasion in Hindus and equivalent to son’s marriage where lot of religious activities are performed. What should be the guest numbers here…? Will authorities clarify ?
