BHADERWAH, May 4: The residents of three panchayats—Berarru, Sindra and Choundary having 15000 souls are up in arms against the administration over deplorable condition of Berarru-Brassu road.
The construction work of the road was started in year 2006-2007 by PWD (R&B) Department but the road has not been macadamized till today.
“The Berarru-Brassu road is in a dilapidated condition since many years due to which the residents are facing various difficulties to carry out their day today work. The road is having potholes and we took up the issue with the authorities many times but our request felt on deaf ear”, a local said.
“During rains, the miseries of the residents including pedestrians also rose. No official of PWD (R&B) Department is bothered to start the macadamized work of Berarru-Brassu road”, he said.
The issue also stands raised with administration many times but no action has been taken so far, he said and appealed to the Governor to direct the concerned authorities to repair the road in the shortest possible time so as to provide succor to the thousands of people residing in these three panchayats.
