JAMMU, Sept 10: The resident of Dina Nagar, Bantalab today held a protest against Power Development Department (PDD).
Large number of people including women and children assembled at Akhnoor road and raised slogans against PDD. They also blocked the vehicular movement on the Jammu-Poonch highway.
The protestors alleged that the transformer installed in the locality of Dina Nagar got damaged around five days back.
They alleged that despite repeated requests, the transformer has not been repaired, which compelled us to come on roads.
Due to non-availability of power, the people including children and senior citizens are facing lots of problems, they added.
The protestors appealed to PDD to repair or replace the damaged transformer at the earliest otherwise they will intensify their protest.
