KATHUA, Aug 28: The residents of village Korepunnu held protest over speedy movement of tippers in their area.
The residents led by Sarpanch Vinay Kumar assemble on Korepunnu road after an over speedy tipper loaded with building material rammed into a residential house and damaged it. Fortunately, the family members ran away from the house when tipper rammed into the house.

The owner told that loss of more than Rs 10 lakh has been suffered after a tipper rammed into his house.
The protesting residents were demanding legal action against the tipper owner, payment of loss and stopping the movement of heavy loaded tippers.
Sarpanch Vinay Kumar alleged that some stone crushers are operating in Ujh river and tippers carry the building material to Jammu and other areas from there. The overloaded tippers move over speedily on village road thereby putting the lives of the people at risk.
He alleged that speedy tippers caused accidents on the road and many people have lost their lives and some got seriously injured.
The local and traffic police did not take any action on drivers of these tippers, who violate traffic rules.
The protesting villages demanded payment of the loss suffered due to ramming of tipper into the residential house and legal action against the drivers of the tippers.
On getting information, DySP Sachit Mahajan reached the spot and assured the protesting people of taking legal action against the drivers of tippers floating traffic rules.
On the assurance, the protestors dispersed.
