BHADERWAH, May 29: The residents of Sewa area of tehsil Chiralla held protest against PMGSY Wing of R&B Department for using sub standard and low quality stones for repair work on Chiralla road.
The residents said that the department is using dust and low quality of stone to repair this road.
The foundation stone of this road was laid down by then Chief Minister Dr Farooq Abdullah on October 1982 at Suigwari but still the road is in dilapidated condition, they added.
The residents demanded completion of work on this road in the shortest possible time by using standard materials.
Among others present were Ashok Kumar, Mandal President BJP Chiralla, Mohammad Amin Lone Chairman, Block Chiralla Development Society, Shahid Hussain Butt, President Market Association Chiralla, Akhter Hussan, Nadir Hussain, Rafiq Hussain, Naib Sarpanch, Nazeer Ahmed, Bhupinder Singh, Haroon Ahmed, Aquib Hussain, Anil Kumar, Dileep Singh Parihar, etc.
