KISHTWAR, Mar 12: The residents held protest against non-availability of electricity and mobile network.
The residents of Tehsil Machail today held protest against Power Development Department (PDD) and mobile company for their alleged failure to provide electricity and mobile network on regular basis.
The protesting residents alleged that even after 73 years of Independence, they are still deprived of basic amenities including regular power supply and mobile network.
“Due to non-availability of electricity, the people particularly the old age persons and students suffer a lot, but PDD is watching all this as a mute spectator”, they said, adding that they are also unable to talk to their dear ones due to non-availability of mobile network in their area.
“During annual pilgrimage of Shri Machail Mata, the authorities get serious and active but after the yatra concludes, the authorities again ignore us and keep us deprive of basic amenities”, the protestors stated.
Before dispersing, the protestors warned to intensify their protest if their issues are not redressed in the shortest possible time.
