Residents protest against installation of stone crusher in residential area

KATHUA, Sept 16: The residents of village Sakta Chack held protest against installation of stone crusher in their residential area.
The protestors including women assembled in the premises of DC Office and raised slogans demanding closure of stone crusher.
A woman protestor Santosh Verma criticized the attitude of District Administration for allowing installation of stone crusher of Delhi based firm near Ujh river in village Sakta Chack.
“Installation of the stone crusher in the residential areas will cause serious health problems”, she said and requested the company to shift the stone crusher from residential area.
The protestors warned to intensify their protest if the stone crusher is not shifted from the residential area.
Among others present were Rakesh Kumar, Krishan Chand, Neelam Rani and Geeta Rani.
