KISHTWAR, Apr 2: A two storey residential house along with household items worth several lakhs were gutted in a fire incident at Chhatroo area here today.
Though there was no loss of life or injury to anyone but there was heavy loss to the property.
As per reports flames started coming out of the house of a political leader Jaffer Wani, son of Ghulam Rasool Wani, resident of Wanipura Chhatroo which prompted the locals to respond by using all the available means to douse the flames.
In the meantime Fire and Emergency officials were also informed and they along with cops and Army personnel reached the spot and put off the fire but before that the blaze had inflicted massive damage.
Chhatroo Police has registered a case in this regard and started investigation to find out the reasons behind the fire.
