SAMBA, June 9: After the brutal murder of teacher Rajni Bala by terrorists in Kashmir, the reserved category employees working in Kashmir organized a protest march here today demanding their transfers back to Jammu.
The protesters gathered under the banner of Jammu Based Reserved Employees Association and raised slogans against J&K administration.
The protest march was taken out from Rajni Bala’s village Nanke Chak to District Development Commissioner’s office.
The protesting employees expressed resentment against the government for not taking appropriate steps to safeguard Hindus in Kashmir.
They said that employees working in Kashmir are not safe and repeated requests for their posting to safer areas were ignored.
The protesting employees said if the government had been serious about the security of Hindus, then Rajni Bala would not have been murdered in Kashmir.
Meanwhile, extending support to the reserved category employees, Ankur Sharma, chief of Ikjut Jammu reached Samba and said that demands raised by the protesters are justified and the government should fulfill their demands at the earliest.
Sharma said that the Lieutenant Governor and the central government should take concrete steps to stop the massacre of Hindus in Kashmir.
Many district officers including Deputy Commissioner, Anuradha Gupta reached the spot and assured the protesters to take their demand to higher authorities in administration.
