JAMMU, Mar 14: Jammu and Kashmir Christian Minority Welfare Association had demanded reservation to the community in professional institutes, Government services and setting up of an Advisory Board for the Christian Dalits in the State.
Talking to media persons, Michael Wazir, president of the Association, lamented that no candidate from the community was selected for any professional course during the last three decades. “This amounts to injustice with this weakest community and Government must announce some reservation for its upliftment,” he said.
During the press conference, Mr Wazir was accompanied by Nasir Masih, Darshan Masih, Lal Gill, Rahul Feastus, Darshan Sotra, Gafoor Masih, Rashid Mattoo, William Sotra, Shammi Sotra, Rewal, George Gill, John Lawrence, Sham Masih, Victor Khokhar and others.
