Research work of GDC Bandipora’s faculty published in Intl journal

SRINAGAR, Nov 19: Research work of Dr Ghulam Hassan Dar, Assistant Professor in Biochemistry of HKM Government Degree College Bandipora, has been published in reputed scientific journal `The Nature Communication’.
The research work done by Dr Ghulam Hassan, entitled “GAPDH controls extracellular vesicle biogenesis and enhances the therapeutic potential of EV mediated siRNA delivery to the brain”, has also got approved for a patent by World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), International Bureau.
In this work, Dr Ghulam Hassan has elucidated the role of GAPDH protein in biogenesis of extracellular vesicles and has developed the technology to load RNA-based drugs into these biological nano-particles for treating Huntington’s disease in mice models.
