NEW DELHI : The rescue team is still to reach the post that got buried very deep with 10 Armymen following an avalanche that hit Siachen glacier yesterday.
“As per inputs received, full blocks of snow and ice had fallen on the post burying the post very deep,” said an army official.
He said that clearing the blocks was a very difficult task.
A very large rescue team has been deployed today to reach down till the post.
Heavy snow cutters and major equipment has been put into use to clear and cut the ice blocks leading to delay in reaching the post.
