JAMMU, July 16: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) alleged that District Development Board (DDB) meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has disappointed the people as required funds were not released for the development in the Winter Capital.
In a statement, Sunil Dimple, president, JWAM said that in the DDB meeting MLAs and MP failed to represent the demands and grievances of the people.
“CM remained non committal towards improvement of the power, water and traffic scenario in the Jammu region particularly in the West Assembly Constituency”, Dimple alleged.
“Expedite the pace of the work of the Chenab Water Supply Project and provide free water supply to the people”, he demanded.
“If the demands of the people were not redressed then JWAM will intensify the agitation and for any untoward incident, the State and Central Governments will be responsible”, Dimple warned.
