Repair Rajinder Nagar Road

This is to draw the attention of the JMC authorities towards the bad condition of Rajinder Nagar road Bantalab running along the power grid. This main road caters to the needs of Rajinder Nagar, Swarn Vihar and Dream city residents. But its condition is worsening day by day as no maintenance work is executed on it by the concerned agency. As a result numerous potholes have emerged on the road which cause great impediments in smooth running of traffic. The vehicles also suffer huge wear and tear day in and day out.
It may be mentioned here that other roads in the area were black-topped recently by the agency but this was left for reasons only known to the authorities.
Therefore, it is urged that the road be repaired and blacktopped at the earliest. Besides, the road should have also side drains to let rain water escape easily otherwise, in absence of them rain water damages it terribly. Hope the authorities would look into the matter.

Repair Rajouri road
There is nothing called construction and development in Ward No. 17 Kherwa (Rajouri). An instance may be cited here: Five months ago, the pedestrian path in this ward was washed away by floods caused by a cloudburst. At that time a team of District Administration visited the area to assess the damage caused to people. After making on the spot assessment, they assured the residents that the walkway would be repaired within no time, and compensation to damaged property would also be made. But this walkway has not been repaired even upto this time. As a result, people are suffering here.
We request the administration to live up to promise, and get the road repaired.

Vacant plots in Swarn Vihar
There are large number of plots in Swaran Vihar Cooperative Housing Colony that are still vacant both on the either side of the main roads and in the interior lanes as well. These vacant plots have made the life of the residents miserable because of the fact that they have turned them into dust-bins now. Huge refuse stands piled in them. As such these vacant plots give rise to epidemic and other dreadful diseases. The Housing Cooperative has been time to time requested for necessary action viz-a-viz raising of boundary walls or noticing these plot holders for the suitable action in the matter. The matter is related to health of the residents which seeks early action from the concerned quarter.
Besides, streetlights in some lanes are not working properly. These need to be replaced by new ones. Without these lights people face great inconvenience during night hours, as there remains the apprehension of anti-social elements roaming in the lanes.

Plea to JMC Commissioner
It is becoming very frustrating and depressing for the residents of Lane 1 Vishal Nagar Talab Tillo Jammu, opposite SP Mangotra Karyana Shop that even after repeated requests to the Councillor of Ward 40 and grievance to Jammu Municipal Corporation via proper channels, there is not a single penny work done in the bye lane even after two years of lodging the grievance. We highlighted the dilapidated condition of the bye lane and open drainage, which has become the breeding ground for mosquitoes and other diseases. We requested for laying of floor tiles, renovating the drainage system by installing iron grating over the drain but it seems now all in vain. We the mohallawallas are deeply anguished by the working of Jammu Municipal Corporation.
This all shows the callous attitude of Executive Division – II, JMC and other lower staff officials. I request the JMC Commissioner for his suitable cognizance and timely action. An early action in the matter shall be highly appreciated.
