Remove M form system: MNP

JAMMU, Apr 25: Manvadhikar National Party (MNP) J& K unit State chief, Sanjay Dhar who is also party candidate for Anantnag Lok Sabha seat & its State general secretary, Vinod Pandita today in a joint statement appealed Election Commission of India (ECI) to immediately remove M form system adopted for voting by Kashmir migrants living in exile for last three decades.
In a statement issued here, today they said M Form system is tedious and lengthy process major percentage of KP voters are deprived of their democratic rights and adopt a simple prompt and online system like provisions so that they may be able to exercise their voting rights with out any hitch.
They said that during first phase of polling for Anantnag Lok Sabha seat on August 23 many people were seen on polling booths in Jammu for voting but they complained that their names did not figure in voter lists despite filling M forms and there was hue and cry over all on booths. MNP leaders appealed EC to take this issue seriously and direct the concerned authorities to work out a plan of migrant voters in such a way that they are able to exercise their franchise in exile in a simple and normal course.
