JAMMU, May 31: Bagh-e-Bahu police today recovered remains of a human skeleton along a road near Grand Hill Hotel.
According to SHO, police station Bagh-e-Bahu, Inspector Bimal Indu, some passersby this evening spotted remains of a human skeleton including legs, some pieces of vertebral column and skull in some bushes along a road near Grand Hill Hotel. He said that on their information, a police team reached the spot and shifted the skeleton remains in mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu.
He said prima facie it appears that somebody had thrown these skeleton remains only last night and person whom the skeleton remains belong to had been killed about two-three months ago, as there was no smell in the remains of the skeleton while a black bag was found from the site and it is suspected that skeleton was thrown there in that bag.
The officer said that the police team conducted massive search on the site but other remains of the skeleton could not be found, so in this circumstance it is difficult to say whether the skeleton remains are of a man or a woman. He said it will be only clear after DNA test for which the samples will be collected tomorrow.
