Relief, jobs to border inhabitants demanded

JAMMU, Sept 8:  Various Sikh organizations have appealed the Central Government to pay Rs 20 lakh each to the families of deceased persons, who lost their lives in cross border firing and also Government job to them.
The demand was made during a meeting  of various Sikh organizations, including Bhai Kanhayia Nishkam Seva Society, Sikh United front,  All India Students Sikh Federation, Sikh Welfare Society and  Sikh Noujawan Sabha, here today under the chairmanship of S Mohinder Singh.
The meet expressed serious concern over the plight of families living near border and also demanded that the Government should provide them five-marla plots at safer places, as announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
