Relief Commissionerate being revamped: Ambardar

JAMMU, Apr 21: The Relief Commissionerate will soon be revamped to ensure better facilities and services to the displaced community. Besides, the Government has credited one month’s relief into the accounts of the relief holders which was pending for some time.
This was disclosed by the BJP MLC, Surinder Ambardar, after separately meeting the Minister for Law, Justice & Parliamentary Affairs and Relief & Rehabilitation, Syed Basharat Ahmed Bukhari and Minister of State for Finance, Pawan Gupta.
Ambardar disclosed that he raised various problems being faced by the displaced community with the two Ministers. He said, the Ministers while giving patient hearing assured that all the problems of the displaced community will be solved and sorted out in a time bound manner.
In the meeting with Bukhari, Ambardar raised various problems faced by the displaced community. He emphasized the need for making the Relief Commissionerate migrant friendly organization which should solve the problems instead of complicating these.
The Minister assured that all complaints will be addressed in the time bound manner and no harassment will be allowed to anyone. He further assured that the process of bifurcation of ration cards will be made easier and simpler.
Gupta assured that the treasuries have been directed to ensure the payment of the relief to the migrants on the top priority. Besides, he added, one month’s relief had already been deposited in their accounts.
Ambardar also took up the matter of enhancement in relief with the MoS Finance.
