A meeting of the forum was held under the chairmanship of its State general secretary Ganesh Khajuria, in which various problems being faced by the teaching community were discussed.
While speaking, Ganesh Khajuria said that masters and the teachers, who are working in different schools under SSA scheme and drawing salaries from SSA grants have not received their salaries for the last so many months, which is creating manifold problems to them.
He said that the teachers, who had been promoted as masters in the year 2010 and 2011 and completed their tenure outside their parent district should be brought back. Khajuria urged the higher authorities to immediately order them to join Chief Education Office of their parent district for their adjustment.
The teachers, masters, headmasters and lecturer, who have been recently promoted should be adjusted at an earliest, in their respective home districts, he said, adding that the salary grants, which are being issued for the drawl of salaries on monthly basis should be released on half yearly basis.
The free text books, which are being supplied to the schools are short in numbers and are also not being supplied well in time, which cause the loss of precious time of the study of the students. JKTF appealed the authorities to supply the books well in time and complete in numbers.
