Release of teachers’ salary demanded

JAMMU, Apr 19: School Education Employees Officers Co-ordination Committee has demanded release of salary of the teachers working under SSA, RMSA and KGVB.
A meeting of the Committee was under the chairmanship of Amar Nath Thakur, provincial president, to discuss various demands,  which included regularization of all I/c Education Officers & Lecturers,  reorganization of the department, stopping mass promotions policy of the Government  up to 9th class to achieve quality education, rational and transparent transfer policy, conducting  enquiry of all primary schools opened under SSA since 2003 till date, release of all pending liability of MDM scheme amounting crores of rupees, running grade to +2 lecturers and restoration of 40 percent  quota in the college etc.
The meet particularly mentioned that teachers working under centrally sponsored schemes  like SSA, RMSA, KGVB are without salary for the last ten months which is the violation of the employees’ rights as their families are at starvation.
Those who attended the meeting included Kuldeep Singh,  Mohd Sadiq, Bharat Bhushan, Babu Ram, Romesh Singh, Tara  Mani, Surjeet Singh, Parveen Singh, Manohar Singh, Om Parkash Singh, Manohar Kumar, Subash Chander and others.
