JAMMU, Dec 2: National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) has urged upon the PM and Union Finance Minister to release three DA instalment arrears blocked while releasing the same to its employees and pensioners recently.
Addressing a workers meeting here today NMC president Subash Shastri said that price index and inflation has made salaried class and pensioners face hardships in managing livelihood.
He said that Central Government should now consider the burning demand of employees and pensioners of Central, States and UTs in releasing three DA instalments blocked arrears in favour of employees and pensioners at the earliest.
Demand of hike in medical allowance of pensioners and employees of J&K to Rs. 1000 per month apart from the demand of regularization of daily rated workers of various departments in J&K, implementation of all Central Labour Laws in J&K, enhancing wages of daily rated workers at par with those of Central Government were also raised on this occasion.
Rajan Babu Khajuria, B.S Jamwal, Surinder Kumar, Romesh Sharma, Mohd. Sadeeq, Swarn Bhagat, Mustakh Ahmed, Tarseem Sharma, Darshan Bhagat, Vijay Bhagat, Sukhdev Singh, Ravinder Sharma, J.P Sharma, Girdhari Lal, Bachno Devi and others were also present on the occasion.
