UDHAMPUR, May 11: Alleging that negligence of hospital staff led to death of a woman, relatives of the deceased held a vociferous protest at the District Hospital Udhampur, here today.
The high-voltage drama continued till incharge Police Post Hospital Udhampur pacified the protesting relatives. A Police team from Udhampur Police Station also rushed to the District Hospital to avoid any untoward incident.
The situation turned tense when around two dozen relatives of deceased Kanta Devi, wife of Dawarka Nath of Phangial Udhampur reached at the hospital and started protest against Hospital authorities. They alleged that the said woman died due to negligence of hospital staff during treatment.
However, on the other hand, Doctors claimed that it was a natural death and the woman died due to high blood pressure.
