JAMMU, May 15: The relatives of KAS officer, Sushil Kumar Attri, who was found hanging yesterday under mysterious circumstances at his private flat at Ansal Apartments, Sainik Colony, today held a brief protest near Shastri Nagar Cremation Ground demanding SIT probe into the matter.
According to the reports, some close relatives of the deceased KAS officer after cremation of his body sit on the road outside cremation ground, demanding constitution of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the mysterious death of the officer.
The protesting relatives were also joined by some other people, who had come there to pay their last respect to the departed soul. Alleging conspiracy into death of the officer, they demanded that the case be probe by a SIT of the police.
However, the protestors dispersed peacefully after about 10 minutes when the SDPO Gandhi Nagar, Sunniya Ashkoor Wani told them that a 6-member Special Investigation Team headed by SP South Vinay Kumar Sharma has already been constituted by the SSP Jammu Tejinder Singh to probe the matter.
Other members of SIT are SDPO East Deputy SP Ravinder Singh Rahi, Deputy SP Special Branch, Zahid Wani, Inspector Ravi Singh Parihar, Inspector Mohammad Aslam and Sub Inspector Deepak Thakur.
