Regularise temporary workers, release 6% DA: EJAC

JAMMU, Dec 18: Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) has urged upon the State Government to regularize all the temporary workers and ReTs and also release 6 % DA in favour of employees and pensioners.
In a meeting of the EJAC held under the chairmanship of Abdul Qayoom Wani (president) at Jammu, the members discussed the issues pertaining to the State Government and Public Sector employees. The special emphasis was given on the issues of temporary employees and delay in regularizing process of ReT teachers who have already completed five years of service.
The other issues agreed by the Government, especially the issues of daily wagers, causal labours, temporary employees and the matter pertained to pay anomaly of Masters grade and clerical cadre. In the meeting all the leaders criticized the Government for not solving the issues and demands pertaining the employees fraternity and demanded immediate release of 6% DA in favour of State and Public Sector Employees.
The EJAC criticized the anti-employee role of some Cabinet Ministers who are hell bent upon to tarnish the image of employees fraternity. Mr Wani warned the Coalition Government to shun the anti-employee policy, otherwise, they will have to face the brunt of over five lakhs employees.
Prominent among those present in the meeting included Amrik Singh, Ganesh Khajuria, Haji Bashir, Nirander Singh Jamwal, Shabir Ahmad Langoo, Mohd Rafiq Rather, Rajinder Gupta, Amarnath Thakur, OP Kotoch, Talib Hussain, Gopal Singh, Darshan Sharma, Bashir Ahmed and Ashok Kumar.
