Jammu, Feb 26: Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) has urged upon the State Governor N N Vohra to regularize all the daily rated and consolidated workers and release 17 % DA in favour of employees and pensioners.
In a meeting of the EJAC held under the chairmanship of president EJAC Abdul Qayoom Wani at Jammu, the members criticized the Government for not resolving the pending issues of the employees. They alleged that exploitation of daily wagers and casual labours was an act of sheer human rights violation and violation of Labour Laws. The senior members decided to formulate a strategy on war footing to get the long pending demands solved at an earliest.
The EJAC leader Mr Wani criticized the policies of State Government for not fulfilling the agreement reached in between JCC leaders and Government on Sept 15, 2011. The issue of regularization of casual and daily wagers is having a top priority in EJAC’s chatter of demands and EJAC will never hesitate to go for State vide agitation for solving the long pending issue, if not solved at an earliest, Mr Wani maintained.
He lashed out at the Government for delay in releasing 17% DA in favour of State employees and also delay in solving pay anomalies issues of master, clerical cadres and other departments. He also urged upon the Principal Secretary Finance B B Vias for releasing of pending G P fund bills of the employees.
