JAMMU, Nov 6: KV No .1 Gandhi Nagar, Jammu organised 43rd Jawaharlal Nehru, Mathematics and Environment exhibition for the children of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan Jammu Vidyalayas.
More than 100 children from nine clusters of Jammu Region participated in this exhibition. The programme was inaugurated by AVLJ Rao, Deputy Commissioner, KVS, RO, Jammu and the chief guest of the occasion.
Other dignitaries present on the occasion included A S Gill, Assistant Commissioner, KVS (JR), Jammu, D R Meena, Assistant Commissioner KVS (JR) Jammu and professors from University of Jammu and colleges.
The beginning of the function was with lighting of the lamp which was followed by beautiful rendition of Saraswati Vandana invoking the blessings of Goddess Saraswati.
Thereafter the students presented Folk dance which mesmerized entire audience.
83 projects were presented by the students out of which 12 projects on different themes were selected. Two students are selected for quiz and one student is selected for seminar for further participation at National Level.
AVLJ Rao, D C KVS, JR in his inaugural address highlighted the importance of Exhibitions and stressed the need to be innovative and scientific tempered .
At the end, vote of thanks was presented by Dr. B.C Dwivedy , Vice Principal, K.V.No. 1 Jammu . The programme was anchored by Princy Bhat PGT (Eng) of the Vidyalaya.
