Not to speak of payment of compensation for inestimable losses, both of men and material sustained by migrants and refugees of 1965, 71 and 1947 even what was within the parameters of the State Govts like reservation in professional colleges, recruitment etc. to facilitate these unfortunates in their rehabilitation/resettlement and to enable them to have a normal life, hasn’t been sympathetically done.
The resentment of millions of displaced persons in the State is obvious from unending agitations and demonstrations before the Govt for redressal of their grievances. It is hoped that before completion of the present term of coalition Govt their claims needs to be settled at the earliest.
