Redressal of public grievances

Sir,
Refer news item, ‘Bukhari to hold” in this paper on Sept. 17. In this connection I have to say that suggestions, demands and complaints are a regular feature of a democratic system and ; Good governance is there to ameliorate the lot of the people. The electorate returns those very candidates to the power that will, on attaining the power, solve the problems on time and giving succor to the people. This requires accountability of those in power to the people.
The word accountability means positive response from the functionaries, at the helm of affairs to the common people. The more the accountability, the better the governance. The close contact between the electorate and the administration goes a long way in solving the problems of the people. Mr Bukhari, as a goodwill juncture has decided to hold on the spot redressal of grievances in every month to bring the people and administration  closer. Such a redressal day will be held every month  both in Srinagar and Jammu. Such a step will go a long way in redressal of grievances.
Yours etc…
