LOS ANGELES, May 4: Rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers has announced that there is a new song on its way.
The single ‘Dark Necessities’ is slated to hit Thursday, the band announced via Twitter.
The track marks the rock band’s first official single in nearly five years, and the first taste of their impending record, reported the Entertainment Weekly
In January, frontman Anthony Kiedis revealed the group was in “the home stretch” of finishing their next album, with production assists from Danger Mouse and longtime Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich.
The collection serves as the long-anticipated follow-up to the Peppers’ 2011 release, ‘I’m With You’. (PTI)
