JAMMU, June 29: Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region organized First-Aid Training Programme for the employees of Saraswati Plastotech India Pvt. Limited at SIDCO Industrial Complex, Bari Brahmana, today.
The oretical and practical knowledge was delivered/ demonstrated by Dr. Kavita Nijhon, Medical Officer, Kanchan Devi, Sup. Pharmacist along with Vironica Marwah, Field Officer, IRCS Jammu Region.
During the 4-days training course, employees were apprised of the various techniques of disaster management during earthquakes, fires, floods, famine, basic safety equipment use and incident management. Practical demonstration covered critical skills such as how to appropriately treat someone who is bleeding, choking or suffering from shock, cardio pulmonary resuscitation, ways to deal with life threatening conditions such as seizures, unconsciousness, or a non-breathing casualty. In addition, employees were shown how to handle a situation where the casualty is having a heart attack, anaphylaxis, asthma or cardiac arrest.
The training was done under the guidance of Sat Pal Sharma, Hony. Secretary, IRCS Jammu Region and supervised by Ritu Sharma, HR Head Saraswati Plastotech India Pvt. Limited.
The exam was conducted by Dt. Kavita Nijohn along with Joginder Kumar, Pharmacist, IRCS Jammu Region.
