Rectify imbalance in SPOs regularization: NPP

UDHAMPUR, July 13: Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (NPP) held protest against the Government for its discriminatory attitude towards regularization of Jammu region SPOs.
JKNPP workers led by Pavan Dev Singh, State Secretary, Young Panthers assembled at Ramnagar Bust Stand and burnt the effigy of BJP Legislators for their surrender before PDP on all Jammu based issues.
Speaking on the occasion, Pavan Dev Singh said that the State Government last week resorted to the most hostile discrimination by regularizing 672 SPOs all from Kashmir region to the utter neglect of Jammu region. He added that such kind of treatment to Jammu region police officials has created resentment among SPOs of the region.
Urging upon the Government to rectify the imbalance, Singh warned the Jammu based Ministers to give up their cowardice and redress the issues of SPOs including increase in their honorarium.
Aman Deep Singh Nippu, tehsil president Young Panthers Ramnagar demanded extension of the benefits of SRO 43 to cover the SPOs as well and address demands of VDCs and Home Guards.
Among others present were Arun Dev, Pushpinder Singh, Vinod Sharma, Mohit Mankotia, Manjeet Singh, Janu Gupta, Rakesh Singh, Ranjit Singh, Kuldeep Singh, etc.
