REASI, May 1: State Road Transport Corporation today launched its bus service from Reasi to Haridwar on weekly basis. The 33-seater bus will ply every Wednesday.
The first bus service was inaugurated by Additional Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Rajinder Singh Tara who flagged off the bus at 12.30 pm today for Haridwar .
Others present on the occasion included ADC Reasi Joginder Singh Rai, ASP Reasi M.S Chouhan, Depot Manager, SRTC Deepak Abrol and NT Reasi Rajesh Sharma.
Assistant Regional Transport Officer Reasi, Shami Kumar informed that the advance booking counters for this service have been established at Reasi and Katra and the bus fare will be Rs 542 per person.
The ADC said that this bus service has been started on the demand of local people who now would be able to get direct bus service for Haridwar.
