SRINAGAR, Aug 30: Students appearing in the post-graduate examinations being conducted by the Directorate of Distance Education, University of Kashmir have urged the varsity authorities to re-schedule the date sheet for the examination.
A delegation of the students told Excelsior that there is little gap between the papers during the course of the examination. The students demanded that there should be a gap of four or five days between the two papers. They said that according to the date sheet the students would have to appear in the eight papers during the examination within a span of 20 days.
“We have been running from pillar to post but there is nobody who would listen to us. We brought the issue in the notice of the Director, Distance Education but still there is no action. We want more break during the papers and this is not an un-justified demand,” said the students.
The students appealed Governor N N Vohra (chancellor) and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah (Pro-Chancellor) to intervene in the matter and get the issue resolved at the earliest. According to the date sheet the examinations are starting from September 6 and culminate on September 26.
