RDA GMC Jammu to stage token protest today

JAMMU, Apr 2: Resident Doctors’ Association (RDA), Government Medical College (GMC) and Associated Hospitals, Jammu today announced a token protest from 10 am to 11 am tomorrow, against delay in stipend hike of all resident doctors.
In a handout issued today, the RDA GMC Jammu said that the tomorrow’s token protest will be a part of a silent protest starting from tomorrow and will be conducted weekly in future till the stipend enhancement by the administration.
The Association said that as it does not want to compromise the delivery of healthcare, therefore, the decision has been taken to stage protest in multiple stages, with the aim to awaken the administration towards the plight of resident doctors working tirelessly day and night with a very undervalued stipend amount.
“We appeal the LG Administration to consider our long-pending demand of stipend hike,” the RDA said, adding, “your attention to this matter is crucial in ensuring well-being and fair treatment of medical professionals.
