JAMMU, Mar 15: In an effort to bring smile on the faces of the specially abled children, members of Regional CRPF Family Welfare Association (RCWA) Group Centre (GC) Bantalab, Jammu visited JRC Home for specially abled and presented educational/sports items to them.
JRC Home for specially abled, constructed on the land donated by Maj Gen (Retd) UC Dubey, was inaugurated by former Prime Minister late Indira Gandhi in 1976. The Home provides free boarding and schooling to specially abled children (mostly deaf and dumb) from economically weaker sections of Jammu region.
As a pre-Holi event, members of RCWA GC Jammu exchanged colours with children and also presented educational/sports items to them. They also committed themselves to future engagement with these NGOs.
Pertinent to mention here that CWA organizes such programs very often to help the needy. The event was organized under the banner of RCWA GC Bantalab under the leadership of SP Singh, DIG GC Bantalab and in presence of Monika Singh wife of Bhupinder Singh, DIG, J&K Zone and Shalinee Singh, Head RCWA, GC Bantalab.
